Autonomous Systems · Drone Mesh

Drone autonomy ends where the network fails.

Project Hierophant provides post-quantum, IP-free mesh coordination for drone swarms, HAPS platforms, and unmanned ground systems — operational over LoRa, RF, and satellite, without a single hop through public infrastructure.

A Nossa Posição

Autonomy got cheap. The networks that command it did not.

Every commercial drone stack on the market assumes a benign network — public LTE, civilian GPS, foreign-cloud telemetry, and crypto suites that quantum hardware will break inside the operational lifetime of the platform. That is acceptable for crop inspection. It is not acceptable for any mission where the adversary is also a state. Hierophant gives autonomous fleets a sovereign nervous system: post-quantum, IP-free, identifier-free, and survivable when the rest of the spectrum goes hostile.

O Modelo de Ameaça

Five failure modes unique to autonomous fleets.

Autonomous platforms inherit every classical communications threat — and add four more that conventional secure messaging was never designed to address. Hierophant solves all five at the protocol layer, not the application layer.

01

C2 Link Capture & Spoofing

Command & Control / Active Interception

Adversaries with electronic warfare capability intercept, replay, or spoof command-and-control traffic between operator and platform. A single compromised link can redirect a swarm, exfiltrate sensor data, or turn the asset against its own forces.

02

Swarm Disaggregation

Jamming / Network Partitioning

Localized jamming or partition attacks fragment the mesh, isolating nodes from the swarm consensus and from rear command. Conventional star-topology architectures collapse on first contact. A swarm that cannot reform is no longer a swarm — it is debris.

03

Identity & Position Leakage

SIGINT / Pattern-of-Life

Persistent platform identifiers, regular telemetry intervals, and predictable handshakes give adversary signals intelligence everything it needs to map the operational graph — fleet size, command structure, mission tempo — without decrypting a single byte of payload.

04

Supply-Chain Implants

Foreign Silicon / Firmware Backdoors

Most commercial drone radios, modems, and crypto stacks are foreign-built. Implants at the firmware or silicon layer cannot be detected by traditional security audits and cannot be patched in the field. Sovereign capability requires sovereign substrate.

05

Quantum Harvest of Mission Traffic

Harvest Now · Decrypt Later

Today's intercepted C2 and ISR traffic is being archived for retroactive decryption once cryptographically relevant quantum computers arrive. Autonomous mission archives — flight paths, target libraries, sensor payloads — will be among the first datasets decrypted.

A Pilha de Capacidades

Eight layers. One sovereign mesh.

Hierophant for autonomous systems is a vertical slice of the full ecosystem — every layer purpose-tuned for low-bandwidth, contested-spectrum, hardware-constrained operation. Nothing imported. Nothing assumed.

01

Non-IP Mesh Layer

Peer-to-peer routing between platforms without IP, DNS, or PKI. Nodes discover and authenticate each other without exposing network topology to outside observers.

Protocol · IP-Free
02

Post-Quantum Key Agreement

NIST post-quantum ephemeral keys per session, rotated per mission window. Forward secrecy that survives the day quantum hardware ships.

NIST PQC · Forward Secrecy
03

Zero-Identifier Framing

Packets carry no persistent platform IDs, no stable callsigns, no recoverable routing metadata. Adversary SIGINT sees noise that cannot be correlated.

Zero Metadata
04

LoRa & RF Transport

Operates on contested or denied spectrum where conventional cellular and Wi-Fi have already failed. Long-range, low-power, frequency-agile.

L-Band · UHF · LoRa
05

HAPS & LEO Bridging

Stratospheric platforms and sovereign LEO constellations relay traffic when ground links are denied. Optimized for high-latency, low-bandwidth links.

HAPS · LEO · Sat
06

Bare-Metal Firmware

Runs on microcontrollers without a conventional OS. Minimal attack surface, auditable from silicon to application layer, deployable on commodity hardware.

MCU · No OS
07

Duress & Self-Destruct PIN

Captured platforms become inert. A duress PIN wipes keys and mission data; a separate sequence can render firmware irrecoverable. No forensic recovery path.

Anti-Tamper · Wipe
08

Group Keys for Swarm Ops

Efficient broadcast cryptography for fleet-wide commands. One issuance, many recipients, no per-message key exchange overhead at scale.

Multicast · MLS-Adjacent
09

Anonymous Fleet Updates

Firmware, configuration, and mission parameter updates delivered to any number of platforms without the update server knowing which devices exist, what versions they run, or where they are deployed. Fleet composition, readiness state, and software inventory remain invisible to any infrastructure — your own included — during and after every update cycle.

Anonymous OTA · No Fleet Metadata · Zero Exposure
Em Teatro

When the spectrum turns.

Three scenarios operators have already walked us through. Each describes a moment where a conventional stack fails and Hierophant continues.

Contested Airspace

A reconnaissance flight crosses a denied perimeter.

GPS is spoofed. Cellular is jammed. The swarm collapses to LoRa mesh, routes through a HAPS platform 19 km up, and continues mission. Command at the rear sees the same picture, latency-adjusted, with no observable uplink the adversary can target.

EW HAPS Mesh Reform
Sealed Mission Profile

A loitering platform is dispatched with no plaintext aboard.

The drone holds no operator identity, no mission time, no target coordinates in the clear. Activation requires a PIN issued from a hardware module on the ground, valid for one mission window. If captured before activation, a duress PIN renders the device permanently inert.

Air-Gap Hardware PIN Anti-Forensic
Cross-Domain Coordination

Aerial, ground, and surface platforms share one mesh.

A reconnaissance UAV, two ground robots, and a surface vessel coordinate over a single Hierophant mesh. Identity is per-mission, not per-platform. Adversary signals intelligence sees radio traffic but cannot map the operational graph or distinguish a strike asset from a sensor.
